Cons: Time–consuming search, difficult to read screen at outdoors, tedious menu, Average camera and multimedia.
Yet again similar to most of the clam-shell designed handset, Sagem my501C is stylish, sleek, light in weight which is quite easy to handle and loaded with ample number for features expected from any low to mid range handset.
On the front panel you will find small external OLED display, which provides general information like date, time, network, battery life and Caller details. On the left side of the Mobile Phone, you will encounter volume control button and music player activation control for direct access of music player.When flipped open you will find internal screen measure 28x35mm followed by stylish keypad which looks vibrant and navigation control system. However you may find awkward menu to deal with as next we are about to discuss that only.
Some of the basic flaws revealed to user in terms of its time-consuming search of contacts when required, flat keypad and tedious menu navigation. Frequent SMS users explicitly face problem with sceptical internal architecture as by default message compose MMS instead of SMS. So be assured about this before buying.
Another shortcoming of this Sagem mobile could be its dull 65k colour screen which didn’t give much of lucidity. All in all it is easy to understand its features for the first time users like setting up ring tones or selecting wallpaper etc.
Voice call quality of Mobile Phone is reasonably good with decent battery life. You will get 250 hr of standby and over 3 hrs of talk time.
Multimedia is the most likely feature people would generally opt for any mobile phone. Sagem my501C embedded with Mp3 player supports AAC formats where you can relish your favourite tunes on access of one button for easy browsing. It comes with handset and inbuilt loudspeaker which is certainly audible. It has 1.3 mega pixels camera for clicking still photographs as well as video recording feature. It would certainly not a Kodak moment for you, at times images get blurred and out of focus, but still it works quite well for low budget phone.
The model comes with internal memory of 32MB, which is expandable with Micro SD slots. On the whole, Sagem my501C is a good looking budget phone with some handful features, ideal for first time users or the users who would like to use it only for calling & messaging purpose with limited functionality but effective affordability!
