Palm Pre Phones
The Palm Pre looks ‘quite a thing’ at the first sight and it’s only after a good interaction with the little machine one comes to know that it’s actually ‘more than just a thing’. Yes, this darling is adorable to the core and it’ll surely take some time for any new product to overtake its position in the market! With the Pre, Palm breaks its jinx of producing handsets which are outdated or way too an assorted pile of electronic circuits and chips.
The design of Palm in itself is very close to being perfect. A decent keyboard, a touchpad and a 3.1 multi touch screen (which is good at reception and does not hang!) might sound good to ears, but the real music is this- the presence of a gesture control screen behind the actual screen of the mobile that eases several navigation hassles.
Two outstanding aspects of the Palm Pre are its user interface and the Web OS. The OS is structured in a way that internet plays a vital role in it. The usage of various web services for data and its implementation in the OS of the mobile is a delight. The UI too shows the skill of the design team and for a change, it’s the phone that suits itself to the user and not the other way round.
The Palm Pre must give sleepless nights to the innovators and the designers of the other mobile phone manufacturers. The Pre beats the I-phone or any other phone in this segment hands down!
