The Nokia 6500 is a phone that has joined the bandwagon of the world’s slimmest phones. A 3Gphone, it has stunning metal casing for its exterior and is available in bronze and black. It boasts of an extremely functional and user friendly keypad.

The display screen of Nokia 6500 is a huge LCD one, measuring 2 inches, supported by the innovative16 million color display technology. The user can play around with the look of the phone’s display by applying various themes, wall papers and screen savers. It features a 2 mega pixel camera, sans auto focus. The camera of the Mobile Phone can also be used for video recording but unfortunately the phone does not support video calling as there is no front facing camera.

The Mobile Phone also consists of a music player capable of playing AAC, eAAC+, and MP3 formats but the phone does not provide for a Bluetooth stereo headset. The phone offers good connectivity through Bluetooth and an USB port. The most attractive feature of the Nokia handset is that it has a fixed memory of 1 Gbyte. This however cannot be increased any further. But the 920 Mbytes available to the user is sufficient to store up to 300 songs.

The battery life of Nokia 6500 is less than average, as in most G phones. It may require charging everyday. The battery lasts 3.5 hours on talk time and9 days on standby. The phone has all standard features a Nokia phone is expected of. These include Calendar, To-do list, Notes, Alarm clock, Stopwatch, Countdown timer, Calculator.The user can keep in touch with friends through SMS, EMS and MMS. The Nokia 6500 also offers the user AMS, a software that enables the user to send voice clips over the air. The phone includes a XHTML and WAP 2.0 browser.
