Nokia 6101 Phones
The Nokia 6101 is one of the few rare clamshell models from Nokia. It is available in two colors: black and silver. The body is made of high quality plastic and its assembly is admirable.
The Mobile Phone size is 85x45x24 mm and it weighs 97g. The bottom panel of the phone contains a Pop Port connector and a charger slot of a new variety. The phone has an external and internal screen. The external display of this Nokia phone has a resolution of 96x95 pixels and exhibits 4096 colors. The external screen displays a whole lot of information. For example it displays the operator’s name, profile in use, time and date network and battery life. It also displays the radio station that is currently being played.
When there is an incoming call, the callers name is shown along with a thumbnail photograph, if attached. On the inside of this Nokia 6101, one can find a not so large internal screen with standard TFT display. This has a resolution of 28x35 pixels and can showcase up to 65K colors. The picture quality is quite good. The external and internal screens are powered by separate backlighting lamps in order to save energy. Just above the external screen, a VGA camera is present. The Mobile phone can store up to 500 contacts in its phonebook. Each entry can have 5 numbers under it. A thumbnail photo can be attached to each entry and a voice dialing tag can also be assigned.
The Nokia phone user can send SMS, MMS and EMS messages. The phone also allows the user to send and receive melodies and black and white pictures to other compatible phones. This feature is called Smart Messaging. Conversations can be recorded using the Dictaphone feature. For entertainment, the Nokia 6101 phone includes three games: Canal Control, Golf Tour and Solitaire.
