Nokia 6080 is simple in design, elegant camera phone with limited features. It is quite identical to 6070 both in design and features. The phone has dimensions 105x44x18.6 mm with weight 91 gm which is quite handy and comfortable to hold and slip easy in your pocket.
One major shortcoming which can easily get noticed for this handset would be its absent back light, which normally grab your attention when you receive call, message alert or calendar event alert. The Nokia handset boasts distinctive keypad design which is easy to use. It has an average display with a 65k colour screen and 128x160 pixels image resolution, not a TFT so it’s quite hard to see in bright sun light.
The handset equipped with basic VGA camera for clicking reasonably good photographs. You can click, print, save photos in your phone album, and also share it with your friends through available multimedia messaging services. The Mobile Phone also has an option of picture frame presets, from where you can select different frame style for the images which can enhance overall photo outlook thus makes it more appealing. It also boasts video player and video recorder features thus you can record, save and play your video clips.
The handset is loaded with text as well as multimedia messaging services which allows you to stay connected with your loved ones. Multimedia messaging services is applicable if sent to the compatible handset. You can send, pictures, video clips to any MMS compatible phone. Nokia 6080 also boasts Xpress messaging where you can send messages instantly. The email facility allows you send and receive emails over handset.
It comes with handsfree speaker phone and built in microphone which allows user to converse with people easily without picking up the handset. Nokia 6080 has clear audibility and voice dialling feature which enables you to preset voice commands for contacts.
On the entertainment note, it comes with few fun filled features like Mp3 and polyphonic ring tones as per individual choice, and built-in java games. It doesn’t have Mp3 player but you can listen to FM radio and stay tuned with your favourite station.
The Mobile Phone has limited internal memory of 16 MB from which there is only 4.3MB available for user usage thus offers limited storage for images or video. Also with restricted connectivity options you can connect to Internet through Edge technology, which is quite good and fast as compare to GPRS. Phone lacks in Bluetooth but offers infrared and USB as connectivity option where you can connect to compatible devices such as PC, Laptop, etc for transferring data, images and other files. It has WAP browser which allows user to connect to Internet easily.
Other preloaded welcome features like personal organizer, calendar, alarm, ringtones, messaging services, and in built java games for leisure are nicely featured and performs well. Battery life is quite decent.
Overall, Nokia 6080 is a well designed phone with few great features but very easy on your pocket if you set budget as first priority!
