Nokia 5300 Phones

Nokia 5300 is a music phone in Nokia's XpressMusic phone series. The Nokia 5300 phone is nice, more or less small and light weighted and thus perfect to carry around. It is believed by many to be Nokia’s answer to the Walkman brand of phones from Sony Ericsson.

Nokia 5300 was launched in 2006 and ever since has climbed the popularity charts consistently. The look of the phone is quite unique and it is evident from the styling that the target market for the phone is the youth. Nokia 5300 is white in color with traces of red and gray. The Mobile Phone is quite sleek with dimensions of 92.4mm x 48.2mm x 21mm. It weighs about 107g. The body of the phone is made entirely out of plastic. The red bands that are placed on the sides are made of special anti-slip components that help maintain the grip when the phone is slid open. This makes it very easy to carry the Nokia 5300 around.

The phone has some great features. It comes with some of the coolest ringtones (64 built in polyphonic ringtones) and the user can download additional ringtones as well. The display settings of the Nokia phone are quite impressive with great wallpapers and color options being available. The keypad is large enough and is also easy to work on.

The phone has an impressive built-in 1.2-megapixel camera. The camera, though not the best, does its job well enough. Since this phone is targeted mainly towards the youth, the phone may not be used as a high priority camera! The Nokia 5300 is fitted with Bluetooth, Internet and EDGE data. It also has an FM radio, which kind of adds to the music aspect of the phone.

The Nokia 5300 is indeed a very good music player. It has a built-in memory of 32 MB. However with the help of memory cards, the memory can be expanded to a maximum of 2 GB, giving ample place to store over a thousand songs and other data. To help the user, the music keys are placed on the sides. Also, a 2.5mm headset jack is provided along with the Mobile Phone. Music can be transferred to and from the phone into a PC in a variety of ways like Bluetooth, Infrared, USB Mass Storage capability, and so on.

The Nokia phone is well suited for global frequencies of the GSM model that is suitable for foreign tourists too. The phone can store up to 1900 phone book entries. The speakerphone of the Nokia 5300 is quite powerful too and comes in handy especially when traveling in a car. The Nokia 5300 endorses the Push-to-talk (PTT) technology that enables the user to instantaneously converse with other individuals who too have a PTT phone on a similar set-up, merely by entering a few keys, much like a two-way radio.

So overall the Nokia 5300 is a good phone with some really good features. Users sometimes complaint about its volume and speakers, but on the whole the complaints aren’t too many.
