Nokia 3220 Phones
The Nokia 3220 was introduced as a phone to take the youth market by a wave. It is one of the very few low end phones that is tri-band GSM phone and it functions in most countries.
The Mobile Phone is smart and slim and weighs quite light. The exterior of the phone can be changed by interchanging its covers by using Xpress- on covers. The unique attention grabbing feature of this Nokia phone is that it offers the user The Fun Shell cover. This is a back cover. This however, must be purchased separately and attached. This fun shell cover allows the user to scribble messages in space as it contains a strip of LED’s. When the Fun Shell Cover is attached, the user is connected to an application called Cover Browser and to the GPRS and he can make use of the Wave Message feature to download templates, pictures and themes.
The Nokia 3220 phone has a small but clear screen that has 65,000 colors. The screen of this phone displays clear images of pictures taken by the integrated VGA camera. The picture quality is good, but nothing to rave about. The Mobile Phone company states that the battery life is about 7.5 hours talk time and 280-400 hours standby. But statistics have revealed that use of camera and Funs Shell cover drains the battery significantly.
The phone includes all standard features like the alarm clock, calendar, to do list and some Java games too. The Nokia 3220 has Some of the games with which the user can entertain himself are Air Express, Nature Park, Water Rapids, Adventure Race, Phantom Spider, Club Pinball and Dance Delight. Te other modes of entertainment are some ‘fun features’ like animated MMS messages and ring tones accompanied by funky lights. The Nokia phone has 27 pre-installed polyphonic ring tones and can be heard through the exceptionally loud speakerphone.
One can customize the Nokia 3220 mobile with some funky, eye catching screen savers, themes and wall papers. However, it is a huge disappointment that the phone does not include a built in FM radio.
