Nokia 1661 Phones
The Nokia 1661 was released in conjunction with the Nokia 1202 with an aim to provide cheap and affordable mobile phones to people residing in the rural areas. As they have to make a lot of calls to their people staying in urban areas, the calls are charged long distance. To compensate for this, Nokia brought in the 1661 mobile phones.
There are not many features in the 1661 as it is meant for the basic purpose of mobile phones – communications. The Mobile Phone offers you to communicate with others by way of calling and messaging. While the text messaging also allows special characters, the company did not incorporate the facility of MMS in these phones.
The main features of the Nokia 1661 are the extended battery life, phone book that can hold up to 5 names, and a strong torch light. The sound of the model is slightly higher than others in the series so that users can easily use it outdoors too.
The Nokia 1661 features a colour display. It costs around 30Euros in the European Sub-continent with rates varying in other portions of the world due to taxes etc. A Nokia press release called it the common man’s phone.
