Cons: No games, a bit chunky, sometimes while navigating overlook objects which you want to click on with scroll- wheel! Poor speaker output! Short battery life! Weak signal at times!
LG U400 augments a new conception to the “Phone as music gizmo” by its special music play back application on board which works in conjunction with a navigation wheel located on the front of the handset. It lets you scratch your favourite tunes thus giving feel of you too can become DJ! The jog wheel also lets you navigate through the menu and through tracks as you would on an iPod, except it's a mechanical wheel instead of a touch-sensitive one. You can also click it like a normal four-way navigation rocker and select the options with the OK key in the middle.
To the right side of the scroll wheel are the send and end call keys and the cancel key, which also acts as the lock key. Above the scroll wheel is a colour screen that displays 262k colours and measures 30mm wide by 41mm tall. It looks nice, but you do need to keep wiping finger marks off.
The handset comprised with dual camera facility. The back of the LG U400 boasts a 2-megapixel camera with an LED photo light for enhanced quality of pictures and videos. This high resolution camera can click 1600* 1200 size photos with high precision. A front facing lens can be used for 3G video calls.
The all-in-one handset has a built in media player which supports popular music formats such as MP3, AAC, AMR etc., that benefits the user with the enhanced performance quality. It also facilitates playing the ringtones in various formats such as MP3, AAC+, XMF, and so on. The Mobile Phone encompasses the Bluetooth technology via which the user can download his favourite music and relish the audio on demand streaming feature.
Depending on their requirement, the users can easily extend/increase the phone’s memory capacity through its expandable memory slot. Basically, the MicroSD™ memory cards are used to get the desired expandable memory. The user can store music, video & photos in large volume with the memory card slot option on the LG U400. The user can easily transfer multimedia files on it by connecting the handset to their PCs without using any additional software.

Overall, LG U400 carries all the essential features, attractive design, ideal for a music enthusiast as lot of attention has gone into the music playback features what more you can ask from today’s music phone. It does fall short compare to Sony walkman range in functionality but still an ideal Musical Talent!
