LG Shine Phones
The LG Shine is a slide- technique mobile phone produced by LG Electronics. Initially commercialized in the Asian Subcontinent as the LG Cyon SV420, LG extended the phone to markets in the Europe and South America and North America.
The first thing about the phone that deserves mentioning is its style. The phone is one of the most attractive phones ever available. The body of an LG Shine is made out of polished-metal, and the complete exterior in the front begins reflecting once the 2.2-inch LCD (the QVGA screen, which is otherwise clear and multi-colored) is inactive. While on one hand the mirror proves to be extremely handy, care has to be taken to constantly keep it clean as well, as fingerprints and other marks form on it easily.
The phone weighs about 120g and thus is slightly on the bulkier side. The Mobile Phone feels solid in the hand and the lid is firmly positioned in its place, quite unlike the lids of some other sliding phones that slip off every now and then. Flip the cover to expose an even keypad that has a neon backlight for its numbers. Dab on the multifunctional scroll dial to go to the main menu. The menu is very user friendly and easy to navigate around. The menu can either be viewed in the form of a grid or a list.
LG Shine has 512 MB of space in which you can store music, pictures, videos, etc. The memory cannot be expanded though. The 2-megapixel-auto focus camera is fitted with a pile of choices, together with an assortment of resolutions, five white balance scopes, a suspension regulator and creative properties. You can generate 3G video calls with an inbound looking VGA camera. Video and audio are managed in an impressive manner inside a fundamental multimedia player, with endorsed systems like MPEG-4, WMV and ASF for video, and MP3 and AAC for audio. Internet and Bluetooth facilities are available on the phone as well.
The sound quality of the Mobile Phone is pretty impressive. The speakers function brilliantly to give you a real feel of the music that the Shine plays. The handset is equally good too. The ring volume is, however, slightly on the lower side and it becomes difficult to hear the phone when kept in a pocket or in a loud outdoor setting. The ‘vibrate and ring’ option is not too helpful either as the vibrator is not strong enough.
The reception of the phone is exemplary. The LG Shine is capable of catching signals in almost all places, barring some basements. So a user need not worry about losing network while attending an important call. The LG Shine’s battery life is awesome too. On a GSM network, a user can get over 7 hours of talk time, while on a 3G network, it can go down by a considerable amount. It also has a stand by time of 10 days and 10 hours.
Overall, it can be said that the LG Shine is a beautiful phone with some great features.
