Apple iPhone Phones
Ever since it was announced, the Apple iPhone had generated a lot of hype for itself. Pitted as one of the finest phones, the Apple iPhone has an iPod integrated in it and also an inbuilt computer, that many believe is probably the best mobile computer.
The Apple iPhone weighs about 145g and measures 115mm x 61mm x 12mm. Though it is slightly on the bulkier side, the Apple iPhone has a brilliant 3.5" 480x320 pixel touch screen display that constitutes the majority of the face of the phone. As a result, pictures and videos can be viewed with utmost clarity, much to the user’s delight. The only thing you will find apart from the display screen in the front is the home key. Almost everything on the phone can be controlled through the display screen. There is a yellowish border to the black face of the Apple iPhone.
The Apple iPhone has a huge memory. There are 4 and 8 gigabytes of storage on the $500 and $600 models respectively, which helps you to stock up 825 and 1,825 songs each. Another great feature of this Mobile Phone is that scratches don’t form on it easily. Even if you carry it around in your pocket without a cover, the phone will not get scratched. And since it is so sleek, it makes even a Blackberry or Palm Treos look hefty! However, the best aspect of the Apple iPhone is possibly its software that’s designed to be simple, yet efficient. You will not get lost or confused, as the home key will provide you with icons for all the sixteen operations of the iPhone.
The battery is strong enough to hold out for call durations of eight hours at a stretch, seven hours of video and twenty-four hours of audio. The battery will however lose power once its charged 300 or 400 times.
Though the Apple Phone is pretty impressive with all the above-mentioned features, it can safely be said that the phone has some very noticeable drawbacks. It lacks features that even the simplest of phones have. For instance, you cannot change the ringtone of the phone. You get to choose only between the vibration option and the single ringtone that’s provided. The songs from the iPod cannot be used as ringtones either. The ring volume has to be adjusted by the central volume control.
The Internet connectivity is unimpressive with the Mobile Phone being compatible with AT&T’s EDGE cellular set-up that is agonizingly slow. Websites take anywhere between 50 seconds to two minutes to load, making the wait annoying for the users. This is one of the chief drawbacks of the Apple iPhone.
Google, the owner of YouTube, provides Apple iPhone with the mapping software. The Maps application makes available a vide range of guidelines for road turns. However because GPS facilities are not present in the iPhone, it is unable to supply accurate directions.
Overall the Apple iPhone is a true gem, living up to most of the promises made before the launch. Though the price is on the steeper side and some applications are missing, the user will benefit from all the unique features it offers.
